Spatial Branding – University of Bedfordshire

Universities up and down the country recognise that students come to university for more than a degree; it’s also about engaging with each other in the community – something that’s been sorely missed over recent months.

Astra recently printed and installed some eye-catching wall graphics following a tender for the work.

The spatial branding was designed by wayfinding and branding specialist Placemarque and printed onto a high quality self-adhesive wallpaper at the University of Bedfordshire to create a series of branded welcome spaces that encourage students to interact in an informal, multi-use setting.

Astra surveyed the areas and made recommendations based on the multiple locations and surfaces on which the graphics were applied.

The University Estates team ensured that all walls were prepared before installing the graphics. Additional edge protection using white powder-coated aluminium extrusion was fixed to vulnerable and high traffic areas.
