Renaker: The Blade and Crown Street Primary School

Our recent collaboration with Renaker and The Laurus Trust resulted in the successful delivery of a range of custom signage for two prominent new developments in Manchester. This includes, The Blade, an impressive 51 storey residential tower, and Crown Street Primary School, the first new primary school in Manchester City Centre in almost two decades.

Transforming The Blade: A Landmark in Manchester’s Skyline

As part of this prestigious project, we crafted bespoke signage that complements The Blade’s striking architectural design. Our team produced:

• Primary Totem: This iconic feature, made from aluminium with opal acrylic fret-cut text and integrated LED lighting, stands proudly as a visual focal point adding to the building’s modern aesthetic.
• Frost Crystal Clear Directories: We installed multiple directories throughout the building. Featuring direct printed graphics on transparent panels, they offer a sophisticated solution that’s easy to read and adds a touch of elegance to the interior.
• New Jackson Car Park Signage: We created high quality car park signage with reverse-printed aluminium letters on reflective vinyl, ensuring optimal readability and durability.

Enhancing Educational Environments

In partnership with the Laurus Trust, we supported the development of Crown Street Primary School, a vital addition to New Jackson’s family-friendly urban landscape. For this school, we developed a variety of bespoke signage, including:

• Aluminium Letter Logos: Crafted with crisp matte white vinyl detail, these logos provide a clean and contemporary visual identity for the school.
• Main Entrance Signs: Designed to create a welcoming first impression, these entrance signs feature durable materials and striking designs that elevate the school’s exterior.
• External Wayfinding Signage: Installed across the school’s premises, our flat-cut aluminium wayfinding signs clearly mark all entrances and provide directional guidance to ensure ease of navigation for students, staff and visitors.

Since its establishment in 2006, Renaker has led the transformation of Manchester’s city centre spaces, delivering over 7,000 new homes. Our collaboration on The Blade aligns with Renaker’s vision of creating dynamic and inclusive urban environments.
