Site Audit
Astra Group reliable surveying method ensures that your locations are carefully assessed, laying strong foundations for an impressive final result. We always use the latest site surveying techniques and our services extend to arranging city planning permission, risk assessment and method statements.

Design
Our creative team isn’t just committed to sign design excellence, we’re also interested in fulfilling your vision. We listen carefully as you explain the corporate image you want to project, then use our extensive experience in conceptualisation and fabrication to generate results with a positive, long-lasting impact.
Each project, regardless of scale or budget, is viewed from a fresh perspective, and with plenty of enthusiasm. Our design studio is constantly engaged across a wide range of projects which can vary from bespoke signage design work to national multi-site signage schemes. Our studios work in 2D and 3D, plus detailed construction drawings using Solidworks. We also offer a presentation preparation service for signage schemes, when required. Drawings include fixing methods, materials, groundworks and electrical supplies.
Budgeting
Astra Group has a vast amount of experience in signage fabrication and print, we use this knowledge and experience to advise you on the best use of materials and manufacturing techniques to meet your defined budgetary requirements.
We’re also pleased to offer consultation support at the pre-tender stage to a wide range of architects, designers and construction companies, to assist with the initial definition of budgeting parameters for key projects.
Project Management
Astra Group will provide you with a single, named point of contact who will be responsible for tracking and monitoring your project from start to finish. Our Account Managers take full responsibility for solving potential challenges before they become an issue, and take pride in delivering projects on time and on budget, every time.
They work especially closely with client’s planning departments, ensuring that purchases are placed on time and therefore ready for fabrication and installation when required, and work tirelessly to coordinate the efforts of Astra Sign’s internal multi-disciplinary team to the highest standards.
Manufacturing
Astra Signs multi-disciplined, in-house skilled engineers can produce any bespoke signage to suit your exact specification. We procure only the most durable, flexible and resilient materials to guarantee the finished products are of the very best quality.
And our unrivalled experience gained over the last three decades is evident in our workmanship and technical understanding, which we apply to every one of the tailored projects we undertake.
Digital Print
Our world-class commercial digital printers allow us to produce signage & branding at the widest range of sizes and use many different sustainable print materials, from rigid boards to PVC-free banners, vinyl and canvas. And best of all, the quality is unbeatable, producing photographic detail no matter what the style or scale.
Astra Group’s premium products are used across Retail Display & POS, Stadium Advertising, Construction Hoardings and building wraps up and down the UK and beyond, guaranteeing deadlines and quality are always met throughout any roll-out graphic installation programmes as required.
Installation
Health and safety is of critical importance to our business, meaning that all site works are carried out in accordance with appropriate risk assessments and method statements – but we apply it with the minimum of stress and avoid disrupting your working day. We operate a fleet of vehicles designed to suit any installation need, including a 27 metre truck-mounted platform and our installation crews are always properly equipped and continuously trained.
Compliance is continuously monitored ensuring regulations are always reviewed and updated. And all our engineers have IPAF, CSCS and PASMA certificates.
Once your sign is installed, we’ll certify that the sign has been designed and constructed in compliance with BS559 standards, including the design life and a structural inspection regime, which will include the competency requirements to maintain the sign.
Maintenance
Astra Group offer a range of after sales services by our trained sign engineers. We can offer tailored packages of planned or reactive maintenance. After install, if you have any concerns or queries, you can contact Astra Group maintenance department at any time to request support.
We will respond to any fault within a pre-agreed time and our call-out service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week and we have resources on hand to tackle an extensive range of issues.
Planning Permission Applications
Our services extend to obtaining planning permission where required. As a member of the ISA-UK (Powered by BSGA) we are constantly kept up to date with any developments, changes or alerts across all councils and local authorities.

Structural Calculations
The review of wind loading, structural and footing calculations is integral to our technical construction file for a bespoke signage structure.
This information is used to gather requirements for structural inspection and maintenance in accordance with EN 13269-2006 standards, which are submitted at the time of handover to the client.
