At Astra Signs, we’re committed to making a difference to the environment, and as a company, we’ve implemented our own green strategies to help us practice what we preach.

We’ve published our Environmental Objectives for 2013: To demonstrate how passionate we are about reducing our impact on the planet, we’ve published our goals for 2013 here. We’re already working hard to achieve them, and we’ll update you on our progress at the end of the year.

We’re part of the Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme: We help retailers across the UK change their fluorescent lighting to ECA-compliant LEDs – significantly reducing their running costs and CO2 emissions, improving the reliability of their lighting and allowing them to claim back up to 28% of their investment in new company signage!

Transport: In 2010, we replaced each of our vehicles with the new EEV (Enhanced Environmentally-Friendly Vehicles) Crafter Euro V Blue TDI Vans. The Crafter vans are among the cleanest and most refined vehicles in their group.

Environmental Business Pledge: We were recently awarded the bronze medal in the Manchester-based Environmental Business Pledge and we are currently working towards our silver award

Carbon Footprint: We are committed to reducing our emissions by 10% in 2013 and have formally signed the 10:10 campaign in recognition of this goal.
