Light & Wonder Manchester Office Transformation

Light & Wonder, Inc., a global player in the gaming industry, the company is headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, and with other offices worldwide from Spain to China. Light & Wonder sought to infuse their Manchester office with the vibrancy and colour that defines their gaming products. The challenge was to seamlessly integrate the brand’s essence into a limited office space, including a showroom that simulated a casino environment.

Design Inspiration and Challenges 

Given Light & Wonder’s dynamic and colorful product range, the goal was to create an inviting office space that echoed their brand values. The Manchester office, situated in the XYZ Building, faced limitations on customisation options. The brief also included incorporating motivational messages, brand values, and visual elements from the company’s guidelines throughout the office space.

Astra Group’s Strategic Solution

Astra Group’s solution involved strategically placing large-scale printed wall graphics throughout the office. This included glass windows and doors, presenting an opportunity to infuse the space with the brand’s identity.

Frosted vinyl was applied to glass office windows and doors, not only adding a visually appealing graphic but also serving the functional purpose of ensuring privacy. This was particularly crucial due to the flashing lights emitting from the gambling cabinets, minimising disruptions within the confined office space.

To enhance the casino ambiance in the showroom, Astra Group suggested using coloured vinyl on ceiling light panels. This innovation emitted a blue-tinted hue, setting the desired mood.

Within the showroom, a built-in cupboard was transformed into a feature wall using vinyl graphics, effectively erasing the typical feel of an office space.

Frosted patterned cut vinyl was employed on other glass office spaces, providing a cohesive and immersive branding experience throughout the premises.
