Astra Group Motors Ahead with Arnold Clark Charge Brief
We’re pleased to share that Astra Group has been appointed by Arnold Clark to deliver the commercial signage for its network of ultra-rapid EV charging hubs – Arnold Clark Charge.
The significant brief sees the business tasked with delivering signage for over 500 ultra-rapid chargers at 100+ EV hubs across the UK, as Arnold Clark powers ahead with its plans to create a nationwide EV charge network. It is an initiative that has seen a £30m investment from the car retail giant.
Work to design, manufacture, and install the units commenced last year and is well underway, with our expert team working closely with Arnold Clark to realise the business’s ambitions. The target completion date is spring/summer 2025.
Among the custom-made signage products produced to date are 102 dual-purpose canopies, providing users with protection from the elements whilst also serving as an invaluable source of information on how to activate the ultra-rapid EV chargers; 25 x 6m branded totem signs, making for an impactful entrance to the dealerships; and 157 signposts. These provide a further point of branding for Arnold Clark and a platform to promote the business’s latest products, including preferential rates and bookable charging slots.

The contract is the latest in a series of collaborations with Arnold Clark, with Astra Group pleased to have designed, delivered, and installed all signage for the automotive dealer’s pioneering Innovation Centres in Glasgow and Stafford.
Here we produced all illuminated exterior signage, interior signage, vinyl graphics, and totem signs as part of a dual exterior wayfinding and marketing signage brief.
